The Channel 4 documentary 'My family’s crazy gap year' has just been shown and what an adventure our year away to travel around the world was – just a normal family and part of the English general public. The family are Cyrus aged 14, Emile aged 11, Eliane aged 7, Rafia aged 38 and John aged 56. We live in West Berkshire. We are a sporty family with father and sons playing hockey, tennis and archery, whilst Eliane loves horseriding. Rafia is a practicing Buddhist and likes homeopathy. We have a wonderful family and many friends around the world. We like to travel as well as holiday at our place in France: the Chateau de Montjoie.
John Willmott has had a career in construction and property and for the last 20 years or so acted as a consultant in the sector as well as being an artificial turf pitch expert.
